Welcome to The Dye Shack's Gnome Cafe yarn club for 2026

Each month I will post an image of a drink you might order at a cafe and the yarn will be dyed to represent that drink. You can choose whether or not you wish to join in each month or you can request a rolling subscription and receive a monthly invoice via paypal if you wish, that way you are guaranteed not to miss a month or you can order through here and dip in or skip as you wish. I have chosen the drinks for their colours (and maybe their mugs in the image) so  they should work well if you are planning on making gnomes each month, I will be suggesting which gnomes if you wish to be guided by myself and their patterns will be available to purchase separately from Sarah Schira on her website https://www.imaginedlandscapes.com or via the Ravelry website.

Due to the nature of hand dyed yarns and methods used, no two skeins are identical, even when dyed together within the same dye lot.  If using more than one skein in a project we recommend alternating skeins every few rows to ensure even colour throughout your project.

Each skein has been hand dyed using professional grade colourfast dyes. Yarn is rinsed thoroughly in plain water, (we do not use soaps or soaks, scented or otherwise) but a small amount of colour run may occur during the first wash, especially if a soap or soak is used.  Although this yarn is superwash and can be machine washed on a cool or wool setting, hand washing is recommended in cool/lukewarm water then lay flat to dry.  All yarn bases have been ethically sourced and are cruelty free (non-mulesing)

We always try to accurately represent yarn colours but due to monitor variations the colours may vary slightly from screen to screen. Our photos are taken in natural light.

We are a smoke free, pet friendly household. All our yarns are stored away from our pets and every care is taken to ensure our pets do not come into contact with the yarn.
