I am really excited to start dyeing this year's advent calendar! This year's theme is based on an Alchemist's notebook and the chemistry and experiments they would have carried out in their never ending quest to create gold from base metals and the discovery of an elixir of immortality. The yarns will be a dark, moody affair and they will be arranged to fade/flow from one to the next. The mood boards should give you some idea of the colours I'm thinking about
The skeins have been designed so they can be used together in one project or as individual skeins in smaller projects, and this year you have the option to add tonal 20g mini skeins to the main skeins to turn them into 'sock sets' which aren't just for making socks with!! (The 4 weekly advent skeins will be different from the 25 day advent colourways)
The 4 weekly advent consists of 4 x 100g or 4 x 100g+20g wrapped skeins as well as a couple of carefully chosen themed extras* and a handmade project bag using themed fabric picked especially for this advent. All of the above comes in a lovely presentation box which can be reused afterwards.
*extras may be edible or scented, please advise of any allergies
There are 3 different yarn base options to chose from. The lovely 'smooth' sock, the 'soft twisty' sock and the 'smooth' DK.

Due to the hand dyed nature of hand dyed yarns, no two skeins are exactly identical, even when dyed together at the same time within the same dye lot.
Yarn is thoroughly rinsed in plain water, (we do not use soaps or soaks, scented or otherwise) but a small amount of colour run may occur during the first wash, especially if a soap or soak is used. Although this yarn is superwash and can be machine washed on a wool setting, hand washing is recommended in cool/lukewarm water then lay flat to dry.
Each skein has been hand dyed using professional grade colourfast dyes. All yarn bases have been ethically sourced and are cruelty free (non-mulesing).
We always try to accurately represent yarn colours but due to monitor variations the colours may vary slightly. Our photos are taken in natural light
We are a smokefree, pet friendly household. All of our yarns are stored away from the pets and every care is taken to ensure our pets do not come into contact with the yarn.
