Yarn is rinsed thoroughly in plain water, (we do not use soaps or soaks, scented or otherwise) but a small amount of colour run may occur during the first wash, especially if a soap or soak is used.  Although the majority of our yarn is superwash and can be machine washed on a cool or wool setting, hand washing is recommended in cool\/lukewarm water then lay flat to dry. Non-superwash bases are handwash in cool water only.
